Your journey in Peru starts in Lima, Peru’s bustling capital city, where you will only spend a night before your thrilling adventure trip with us will begin; the next morning, you will take a flight to Iquitos, a spectacular region and ideal starting point for exploring the Amazon River and Rainforest.

CuscoPeruTravel will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall of Lima International airport; from there we will transfer you to your hotel in the Miraflores district of Lima. On arrival to your hotel, our representative will give you an explanation of the tour.
Depending on your arrival time today we recommend booking a table at one of Lima’s top restaurants – the capital of Peru is home to four of the World’s Top Restaurants and Peru proudly lays claim to being the ultimate culinary destination in the World.

In the morning, our staff will escort you to Lima airport to catch a domestic flight to Iquitos. After your arrival there, our specialist will welcome and take you to your luxury vehicle for a scenic drive for about ninety minutes through the small village of Nauta where the cruise ship is anchored and waiting for your arrival.
Once aboard, the ship’s crew will give you a warm welcome help you settle into your cabin suite; and then the same staff will give you a briefing about the basic information you should know for travelling aboard; you will then enjoy a sumptuous welcome dinner. It’s time to discover why the Peruvian cuisine is recognized among the World’s finest; also enjoy a Pisco Sour which can be indulged on your voyage along with a fine selection of beverages.

The third day starts with a delicious breakfast, and then you embark on a guided jungle walk to Yanallpa Lake where you will be able to appreciate the hoatzin, a rare bird with a distinct appearance. After bird watching, your guides will instruct you how to return to your luxury cruise and where you can enjoy an exquisite lunch in the air-conditioned dining room.
By the afternoon, you will be cruising along the magnificent Ucayali River while making contact with natives and fisherman, who will show you their special skills in catching catfish using only an armored skin.
In the evening, your guides will lead you along the Sapote River where you will be able to appreciate the caiman which is a reptile similar to the alligator that can only be seen at night along with other night-dwelling river creatures before returning to the cruise to rest peacefully after a long day.

After having a filling breakfast aboard, your guides will introduce you to native people who are who are self-sustained by expert cultivation of wild plants; also our guides will take you on a jungle excursion through the village of Hatum Posa where its inhabitants still continue to live the way their ancestors did thousands of years before. This guided walk will transport you into the virgin forest where you will know more about the wealth of fruit trees and medicinal plants that are only found in this area.
In the afternoon, you will have lunch aboard the cruise; after lunch your cruise continues along the Pacaya River until Yanayacu Lake, an area completely covered by rainforest life. Here you will be able to see the Saki monkeys, capuchin monkeys and howler monkeys.
During the sunset, you will return to the cruise, dock at Pacaya Samiria National Park, and enjoy a delicious dinner.

The fifth day starts with a delicious breakfast offered by the cruise’s crew while this journey enters into an area filled with a wide variety of parrots, macaws, toucans, various species of monkeys, and pink dolphins. After breakfast, we will arrive at a special place where travelers can feed dolphins at Yanayacu Lake, where you’ll find a particular paradise where these playful creatures live.
After lunch, your cruise will start its journey back to Iquitos . However, you will still have the whole afternoon to practice your fishing skills and catch some tropical fish which live in the Amazon River; among them are the red eyed carnivorous piranhas.
At the last night aboard, you will enjoy a farewell feast in a luxurious dining space, where you will have dinner under the stars on the top deck.

Today in the morning, you will still have a final journey aboard the cruise on the Amazon and give you the opportunity to see the jungle wildlife before going back to the port.
After disembarking, you will enjoy a city tour in Iquitos in the afternoon. Here you will visit the ancient house built by Gustave Eiffel and the San Juan Amazonian Market, where you will be able to find and purchase some local crafts.
Afterwards, your guides will escort you to the Iquitos airport where you will board a domestic flight back to Lima. Upon your arrival, you will be met by your Cusco Peru travel representative, who will guide you to your hotel to spend the night before your morning flight towards Cusco.

In the morning, our travel representative will escort you to the airport to catch your domestic flight to Cusco, a spectacular 45-minute flight that will take you above several glacier peaks. Upon arrival, our tour guide will welcome and accompany you to your luxury hotel situated downtown. After a short rest, our guide will take you on a private walking tour through the hidden attractions in the City of Cusco which is also located in the highland 12,000 feet above sea level. Before leaving your hotel it is a good idea to drink some Coca tea or chew some coca leaves in case you experience some altitude sickness, this will help you.
The first stop will be in the main square of Cusco, where you will visit the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful, stunning and magnificent churches of Peru and Latin America. It was built in almost 100 years and has a valuable pictorial museum that preserves more than 300 paintings by the Cusqueñian painting school and by a world famous artist. Among the paintings the most notable are: The Last Supper by Marcos Zapata and Our Lady of Redemption. Continuing the tour, you will be taken then to the Temple of Qoricancha or Temple of the Sun, where you can appreciate the Incas finest stone work. The journey will continue by bus to the outskirts of the city of Cusco, visiting Sacsayhuaman, place where each year, at the Winter Solstice in June, the Festival of the Sun or ‘Inti Raymi’ is presented. It has a strategic location with a full view of the city of Cusco for the visitors. You will also appreciate the Archaeological Centers Qenqo, Tambomachay and Pucapucará. The return to the city of Cusco is at approximately 6.00pm.

Start off the day by indulging in a delicious breakfast at your hotel; then our staff will pick you up between 8:00hrs to 8:20hrs in order to start the day visiting the Sacred Valley. The first stop will be Pisac which boasts a tremendous Incan complex with magnificent terraced fields on the side of the mountains, with the market that is famous for its beautiful handicrafts. Then, we will make our way to Urubamba, one of the major agricultural centers of the Inca Empire and one of the most beautiful towns of the Sacred Valley. A nice lunch buffet will be waiting for you there.
Right after lunch, we will go to the Incan village and archeological complex of Ollantaytambo, where the original Inca descendants are still living. This one is the biggest Inca fortress built in the Sacred Valley. Finally, from here we will take you to the train station to catch the train to Aguas Calientes (the nearest town to Machu Picchu). Once in Aguas Calientes, our staff will be there to escort you to your hotel to rest for you big day at Machu Picchu.

Have a delicious breakfast and while waiting for your guide who will greet you in the hotel lobby. Aguas Calientes is a little town where you will have to walk a few steps to take the Bus. After 25 minutes, you will arrive to the entrance of the mystical Machu Picchu. Explore with your guide the original ancient town and enjoy a guided tour through the city to experience the history and connection to the land of the Incas. Machu Picchu was probably the most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire at its height; its giant walls, terraces and ramps. All of them seem to be cut naturally in the continuous rock wall that are part of the religious, ceremonial, astronomical and agricultural buildings.
After concluding your day’s adventure, you are ready to have your lunch in the unique elegant restaurant close to Machu Picchu Citadel: Tinkuy Restaurant at Sanctuary Lodge. After lunch, you’ll catch your luxury train back to Cusco. Upon your arrival to the train station, our travel representative will be waiting for you to take you back to your hotel in our private exclusive transport.
